The Crimson, toppled from the undefeated ranks by Rutgers last week, went of to flying start on the fifth play of the game when Tom Cannon, hard-driving wing back, smashed outside Of his left tackle and, aided by terrific block ing, raced SIS yards for the first touchdown. That success so unsettled the In dians that they fumbled soon after the next kickoff and Left End George Hauptfuhrer fell on the ball on Dartmouth’s 10. After five yard penalty for back in motion. Cannon launched Harvard’s second successful drive by passing to Hauptfuehrer, who was substitute ing for Wally Coulson, the injured punting specialist. Scored from 3-yard Line. With less than a minute left in the first half, Connie Pensavalle, the Dartmouth aerial ace, clicked off two tosses to Larry Bartnick and Bob Aibrecht, who pulled down 40-yarder in the Harvard end zone. Dartmouth had wide-open chance to pull on even terms early in the third period of this 50th clash with Harvard, but, after Right Halfback Francis O’Brien moved the Indians from midfield to the 10, Harvard’s line stiffened and held for downs.
