FAR WEST YALE SCORES go WIN OVER HARVARD NEW HAVEN. Dec. 1 - R – Yale’s strong line and Art Fitzgerald made the Harvard football team wish it had remained on an informal basis today. The Ellis rolled up a $50 score in the 62nd meeting of these Big Three rivals and their first since 1912 and outplayed the Crimson so completely that it hardly looked like a contest to the $4,000 Or so die-hard fans who braved cold weather and snowy stands to see the traditional game. Fitzgerald, who was third stringer at Notre Dame last season and who came to Yale as a mid-season Navy transfer, scored three of Yale’s four touchdowns and was the, principal = ground gamer of the day. 1t was the Yale line, however, that made the real difference. The Ellis piled up 10 first downs to Harvards four, gained 1859 yards by rushing and 202 by passing as compared with Harvard’s 81 and IS yards. -
