Missouri Grid Team Rolls on Like Fast Express Train ~ Inc fAAoO1lAtc0 1EesS. KANSAS CITY, Nov. 1.-The University of Missouri football team is something like a fast express The Tigers try to go all the way every time, with never a stop for stations along the line. Each play in football lovingly is designed to produce touchdown, of course. But the Tigers seem to be better at remembering this than most teams. A few examples of the touchdown dynamite carried by the Tigers and their T formation: Against Nebraska: Ralph Carter went IS yards, Bob Steuber went 81. Steuber Remains on the Gallop. Against Kansas State, where the Tigers piled up 487 yards rushing: Steuber had touchdown dashes of AZ and 10 yards, while Fred Killing went so yards before he lateraled to Bob Callahan, who hurried the remaining 10. Against Colorado: Don O’Hara scurried to 65-yard touchdown. Against Iowa State: Steuber tossed a pass to Bert Ekern for a 77-yaro touchdown, lateraled to Don Reece for an 80-yarder and then ran 81 yards for one of his own. Another lateral, Harold Adams to Fred Bouldin, made 81 yards and a touchdown. Sooners May Stop EN-. Against-but you’re getting the idea, aren’t you? Let the guard drop for a moment, and whoosh! The jackpot has been hit again. If Missouri is to be stopped by a Big Six team this year it will have to be done Saturday in Norman, where Oklahoma has the assign ment. 1t isn’t as impossible as it might seem. That 76–0 humiliation heaped on Kansas State last week shrieks that the Sooners have recovered from their doldrums. Defensively there never has been much wrong with them.
