  Yale Defeats Dartmouth. NEWTON. Mass, Oct. 14.-Yale deteated Dartmouth by the score of IL TO o here this afternoon in a fierce game. Yale scored one touchdown in the first half by hard, straight football, but failed to score again until nearly the end of the second half, when Stillman and G. Brown broke through and blocked a punt on Dart mouths 7-yard line, Stillman getting the ball across the line. Thorpe kicked the goal The showing made by Yale was very poor one, a questionable decision alone saving her from being scored on, when, with the ball in Dartmouth’s pos session. on Yale’s 10-yard line, the umpire gave the ball to the Blue for alleged hold ing by Dartmouth man. Yale’s playing was slow, and the work of her backs poor, McBride’s beautiful line e-bucking and punt ing alone excepted. Dartmouth had a very much lighter team than Yale, but was far superior to it in activity and dash, Yale played better football in the second half, as her superior weight and better physique told on the lighter Hanover men.
