Marquette Linemen Win Is Thriller From Michigan State MILWAUKEE, Nov. Is pa pair of veteran linemen, Ray Apolskis, center, and Bob Kemnitz, guard, combined their talents today to give Marquette a 7-to-6 football victory over Michigan State before home coming crowd of 10000. Both had been Commute perform ers for three years and wound up their careers on the home field with performances that enabled Mar quette to come from behind in the final period. Apolskis’ contribution was TO yard touchdown gallop after he had intercepted a forward pass on his own 80. Kemnitz’s offering was the extra point placement kick that was good and meant the difference between a tie and victory. Michigan State took the lead on the first play from scrimmage in the second half when Wyman Davis broke loose on wide right end run and raced 79 yards for touchdown. Marc Miller’s placekick for the extra point failed.
