FIGHTING IRISH Whip NAVY 1877 Midshipmen’s Anti Aircraft Guns Jam Late In The Fourth Quarter BALTIMORE, Nov. 9.-REThe Navy’s anti-craft guns janmed late in the fourth quarter today and the fighting Irish of Notre Dame continued their victorious march with a 13 to victory in a game which for the final Is min utes kept $4,000 spectators in pop eyed frenzy. Until that dazzling barrage of passes, with a seven-yard touch Gown sprint by Bob Saggau tackled on the end, it appeared that the Middies were going to do what Army came so near doing a week ago. They had come from behind mid way in the final quarter to take a 7 to 6 lead on 30-yard touchdown sprint by Wes Gebert, followed by a successful conversion by Bob Leonard. and the nearly $500 blue coated Midshipment banked in the West stand went wild. Then it happened, and a dazed befuddled Navy team still is rub bing incredulous eyes. 2
