  FOOTBALL. COLUMBIA WINS a GAME FROM RUTGERS BY AN AMPLE MARGIN 81 AN AMfLE MARGIN. New Brunswick y. j.. oct. (SpeciaD-Columbla University won the football match with Rutgers College this afternoon Nelson Field by a score OF p 10 O. The Columbia team had twoscore of r0oters and came prepared TO carry off the honors, which they did right handy. They put up a &c Cd game both the aggressive and defensive. and so did their opponents. who had lighter Columbia’s Interference was excellent The Rutgers eleven made their hardest fight In the second half when they came down the field with a rush, but fumbled and lost the ball when almost over the goal line. Columbia made her first touchdown IN five min utes after play began. when Denman carried the ball over the line. Bruce kicked the goal. the only one made in the game. Denman made a run OF forty yards In the first half. and loudly cheered. He had his leg wrenched In the play and had retire. Edgar, for Rutgers. also made twenty yard run in this half. SimOns made another touchdown before time called. In the second half two touchdowns were made by Jones and Berrien for Columbia. Edgar made two clever runs OF twenty and fifteen yards and Mann did some good taking for Rutgers. The lineup follows
