Barely Winning, II to 6. Princeton, n. j., Nov. 13.-It was quite a revelation in the Princeton Yale game here, yesterday. considering the closeness of Princeton’s victory. to see such brilliant lights at Yale as De- Saulles, Benjamin and Mcbride repeatedly fumbling the ball on kicks and experiencing a spell of “rattles’‘ similar to that displayed by Pennsylvania s backs in the Harvard game of a week ago. Notwithstanding these drawbacks, Yale repeatedly secured firm grip on the Tigers tail, and several times the sons of Elihu We’re on the verge of tying the knot, but at every critical moment the festive tiger would free him. self by making an extra kick, and at the same time fastening his claws so securely in the blue jerseys that it took Yale long time to get a good chance to try the tail-twisting act once more. 1t was chiefly a battle of forwards. as there were very few long runs, ana the Princeton giants and the sturdy Yale Nnesmen fought it out valiantly in dzor-die finish. rRNtEroN. Harvard Defeats Brown. The Harvard eleven, with all substitute backs excepting Warren, defeated Brown Saturday afternoon by the score of II to 6. 1t was hard-played game throughout, and Brown played swift ball, making one touchdown and coming within six inches of another. This last was in the opinion OF many people on the side lines really mada, but the umpire decided that the ball was not across the line and gave the ball to Harvard on downs
