HARVARD TRIUMPH |SPACED BY FOLEY Back Runs So Yards to One OF His Two Scores as Davidson Bows, 15-O. - AMBRIDGE, Mass. Nov. 10 4 Wind and rain we’re the de- Gliding factors today as ~ spasmodic Harvard attack punched out two touchdowns, a point after and a safety to beat Davidson, $50, in an intersectional game before crowd of 1000 shiyering spectators. The first touchdown came in the second period after long. slow march and the other in the third on a brilliant 63-yard run. The first break came soon after Frank Foley raced SIS yards for a touchooWn only to have it nullified by holding penalty. taking the ball on the visitors 40, where Williams punt mad dropped into his arms, Foley ran to the IS, then plunged through guard Tor more. Ben Smith made it a Harvard rst down with a 20-yard run to the 5-yard line. from where Foley rushed it over in two tries. Foleys Run Spectacular. TAKING the ball on deep reverse in the third quarter, Foley again found the goal line on a 63-yard run, the most brilliant play of the game. Several partially blocked kicks preceded the run as Harvard ends forced Williams, 1eft-footed booter, to kick hurriedly. The Crimson halfback cut for the sidelines during his long dash. OUTRAGED Hicks and Stair, and as Winter erased Davis, the Wildcat safety man, Foley sloshed through the mud to the end zone. Davidson’s running attack never got under way, as strong Harvard line, In which Booth starred, rushed kicks and line plays alike. Booth at tempting to rush the ball out of Davidson’s end zone, was tossed behind the goal line for a safety in the final period. The Crimson’s injured veteran. Vernon Struck, played only two periods as fullback. but still limped a little from a leg injury he suffered two weeks ago.
