Syracuse Eleven Packs Power For Terps Some folks are making the Maryland eleven the choice over Syracuse for the game in the Salt City Saturday probably are not converSant with the power of the big Orange outfit. Those basing their prediction on Cornell’s 20 to 7 defeat of the Syracusans last week probably have not read a detailed account Of that contest. The difference between the elevenS was a blocked kick and a 46-yard run that gave Cornell two of its three touchdownS. In fact, there was just As yards differences in CornellS favor in ground gained by the two teams and for the most part it was grueling, stand-off battle. Maryland will be over-matched in power and will have to stop two of the best backs in the East in Vannie Albanese, human dread naught, and Marty Glickman, Olympic Splinter. The Old Line squad will leave over the Baltimore and Ohio Fri day evening, at 7 o’clock reach ing Syracuse Saturday morning around $50. The title will be a rubber” contest, as in three meetings each has won once and the other game, last year in Baltimore Stadium, was a ScoreleSs affair.
