SYRACUSE DOWNS |NEPT BROWN, 1870 AIbanese Makes All Three Touchdowns as Orange Keeps Record Clear. - YRACUSE, N. Y. October 90 BY 174-pound package of dy- Mantle in the person of Full – back Vannie Albanese of Man hus, N. Y, Syracuse University’S weak ened gridiron array remained among the ranks of the unbeaten today by banking woefully inept Brown eleven, 10 to 0. Nine thousand persons who sat in sun soaked Archold Stadium saw the f1eet-footed Albanese, junior, personauy account for all three touch downs tailed by the Orange and provide the only thrills of a rather drap battle. 1t was Syracuse’s fourth consecutive win OF the season and the bruised Bruins fourth straight defeat. Somewhat sluggish through a score less first period and part of the second, the injury-riddled Syracuse array began to click on all cylinders near the end Of the first half and from then on 1t had matters well in hand. Syracuse’s superiority, despite a weakened lineup, IS shown in the l76 yards it gained to the Rhode Islanders Ill. Syracuse rolled up 13 first downs against the Bruins 4. The fine punting Of Billy Nolan Of Saltwater, N. Y, kept the Bear backed to within the shadow of its own goal posts good share of the time.
