  STANFORD IS WINNER OVER WASHINGTON U BULLETIN = STANFORD UNI VERSITY, Cal, Nov 10-Hurling back the undefeated, united chal- lenge of the University of Washing ton here this afternoon, Stanford University’s Cardinal football team took a mighty step toward a Coast Conference gridiron title by beat ing the Huskies. The final score stood: Stanford “A, Washington O. OTHER SCORES Important football scores, re- ceived by The Empire at 4 o’clock this afternoon are as follows: Navy defeated Notre Dame, 10 to 0. Ohio State upset Chicago, 33 to Oregon State surprised Oregon, 3 to o. California was leading U. s. C.. in the fourth quarter. Washington State was heading Idaho in the final period. Montana beat Montana State. Wisconsin trimmed Michigan, 10 to o. Georgia defeated Yale.
