CADE ETS-|R|SH. CAME HEADS PROGRAM NEW YORK, Nov. 22.-Once again the nations football fans are girding themselves for their weekly tilt with the bookies whose number has grown so amazingly this fall. The game heading Saturdays list, and one of the toughest to pick, is the Army–Notre Dame battle which is expected to attract 10000 spectators to the Yankee Stadium. Here’s an even-stephen affair if ever there was one, six OF one and half a dozen Of the other Blue Tinge >Yale-Harvard in the New Haven Bowl has a definitely blue tinge, after the Ellis uprising in Princeton. But don’t forget Harward will be just as strongly keyed up for the Bulldog as Yale was for the Tiger. And Eddie Casey’s got quite a few likely looking youngsters on his squad. Penn tate-Bucknell, at Lewis burg, looks like a tough one to pick, too. Syracuse’s finale against Co. lumbia at Baker Field may ruin more than one card this week end. The Orange has more man power than Columbia, but it wasted that power against one clever team, Colgate, and it can do the same against another, our own Lions. Doesn’t Mean Anything Temple is unbeaten. but that doesn’t mean the Owls are any cinch to whip Villanova. They lost to the Wildcats by a 24–0 score last year. OF course, Minnesota is a heavy favorite over Wisconsin, and Stanford is an odds-on choice over California. But don’t over look the fact, that the Badgers upset hitherto unbeaten Illinois in their last start, and California was beaten by only 7–3 in its 1888 clash with Stanford.
