Fighting Navy Eleven Plays Great Game But Army Wins by 1877 Count HARVARD CANDLES ON ALL OR NOTHING AND HUNlBLES YALE out its lone touchdown, Tommy Locke, took the next kick off and flashed 80 yards straight down the heart Of the gridiron and over the Eli goal. It was duel that lived up to all the glamour and glory of Harvard Yale tradition, born in 1875; the Bit ter battle Of an aroused Eli team that Numbered over the gridiron, piline up eleven first downs to Haryard’s four, only to collapse in the crucial moments when Wells and Locke we’re on the loose. In fact it was as amazing a picture OF opportunism on the loose as any football field ever has seen. for the three times Harvard had the ball in Yale territory. the Crimson scored. and two of these times the runner was on his way to a touchdown when he passed midfield.
