  Foot Ball Games. New Haven. Oct 6.-Amherst’s light weight football eleven proved easy vic tins for Yale this afternoon. The blue put into the field a substitute eleven. containing seven freshmen, and won-18 to 0. Princeton, N. J., Oct. 6.-The Prince ton scrubs went down to LaWrencevihe today and defeated the Strong school team by a score Of s to o in a fiercelY contested game. Philadelphia, Oct 6-The University of Pennsylvania today defeated the Gettysburg college team by q, score Of 81 to 0. Six tauchdowns were scored in the first half and four touchdowns and a field goal in the. second half. The University of Pennsylvania scored almost at will. Princeton, N. j., Oct. 6.-Rutgers was defeated, SO to o, by the Tigers on the Varsity gridiron this afternoon, before one Of the largest crowds Of the season. In two halves of 10 and ten minutes each, Princeton scored seven touch downs and three goals from the field.
