HARVARD SCORES OVER HOLY CROSS Unexpected 10 Victory Is Balm for Recent Losses. Passes Decide Issue. - AMBRIDGE, Mass, November II A (P).-After weathering a stub born Holy Cross attack for three periods, Harvard’s hard fighting foot ball forces today lessened the string of recent humilations by converting its only oportunity into an unexpected TO victory over the purple clad Crusaders. Three times during the brlising dog fight, the powerful Invaders surged in side the Crimson’s 10-yard line, but they lacked the punch needed to dent the desperate goal-line stands. Their running game was impressive in mid field, but ineffective up close, and when they turned to the air the Harvard backfield reserves, who started the game, ruined three quarters of the “a passes attempted. Trivial mistakes at vital moments, probably caused by their unsettled coaching situation, and the superb defensive work of Harvard’s great tackles, Trad Hardy and Nal Bancroft, ruined the day for the highly favored Crusaders,
