  BOBCATS HUMBLE NORTH DAKOTANS Make Brilliant Showing Against the Bison, Veteran Aggre- gatiOn-ScOre 22 to 0 Showing marked superiority in evcry department, the weil-balanced Bobcat football team of Montana State college Saturday on Cation field defeated, p to 0, the Bison of North Dakota State college. The game was witnessed by a good-sized and enthusiastic crowd. Taking full advantage of an inn pregnable first line, the speedy and resOurceful backs of the Bobcat eleven Diled up yardage in a manner that time and again brought the fans to their feet. The longest and most brilliant play of the day was OFT Gard ner’s spectacular return of a Bison kickoff, when he raced 65 yards through a broken field for a touch down. Two of Montana States touchdowns were made in the first quarter, and the third in the second. The last half was devoid Of scoring, although the Bobcats had the game well in hand at all stages. Coach OFT ROmney gave most Of the youngsters a chance to work out. using virtually every second string man, but nevertheless the Bobcats continued to make yard age against the veteran North Dakota aggregation. 1t was the general impression OF the fans that the Bison had failed to live up to their reputation. While some of the Bobcat brilliance may have been due to this fact, this years NJ. S. G. team stands out as one OF the best that has been started here and appears to be Of championship caliber. The Bobcats will experience their first real test Saturday, wher they clash with the strong Idaho uni versity team at Moscow. In the Cation field game Montana State made 10 first downs and 2SC yards from scrimmage, while the Bi son were credited with five frs downs and So yards from scrimmage Only the splendid punting Of Hermes North Dakota’s right halTback, prevented the North Dakota team from being scored on more often. Gardne. made two of the Bobcat touchdowns while Cashmofe, substituting for Bah cock, made the third.
