An alert Green Wave from Tulane university invaded Cramton bowl this afternoon and swept to victory over a bunch of snarling, fighting Tigers iron, the Auburn pains. The score was IA to 6. They made history as their smart, well-coached eleven sent the Auburn team down to defeat. It was the flrst time Tulane team has ever left the gridiron with an advantage over their Orange and Blue opponents. Speed, brains and the first principle of the gridiron game-that of watching the ball-accounted for their victory over the sluggish, less smart eleven from Auburn. They made the breaks and had the wit to take advantage of them. They defeated Auburn and their victory reflected the margin of su- periority of the team from the Louls- jana delta over the Plainsmen. Tulane was offsided and it was still Anburn’s ball with four more tries to shove it across. They failed.
