After a fierce struggle, battle wor- thy of two old grid rivals-the Uni versity of Georgia today emerged trl- umphant over Virginia, the score be- ing to o. The Cavaliers fought wonderful game, for they not only wanted to win for the sake of winning but they were also smarting under drubbing admin istered last season by the Bulldogs. Time and again the Virginia eleven was on the verge of scoring but fate and the great Georgia machine ruled otherwise. Georgia’s lone touchdown came in the third quarter. Virginia lost the ball to Georgia an the Old Dominion s 34-yard line. Randall, hard plunging fullback of the Georgians, shot through for lZ yards and first down. Randall then hit center for three more yards, and an additional 14 yards. The ball was placed on Virginia’s four-yard line. Again was Randall called upon and this time rammed left guard for a couple of yards. Only two yards re- mained. Randall once more was given the ball and he made good, going over the line for the touchdown. Moore s trusty foot sent the ball between goal posts for an extra point. Late in the first half Virginia at’ tempted a drop-kick from Georgia S 3S-yard line but was unsuccessful. Cuddy and Mappis led the Virginia offensive mad defensive, while for Geor- gia. Randall was the outstanding star with Fitzpatrick also playing a good game. By winning today the Bulldogs continued as an undefeated eleven in the southern conference.
