DARTMOUTH MASTER OF BROWN, 10 TO 3 HANOVER, N. H. November L. Dartmouth’s foot ball eleven. with the same power that tied Yale and defeated Harvard, disposed OF another threat here today in winning from Brown, 10 to 3. The Green team outplayed the visitors in all but the last period when Brown several times threatened the Dartmouth goal. Coach Hawley’s team marched down the field at will during the first three quarters of the game, but lost several opportunities to score through FUN bles and penalties. Oberlander and Hall, Green backs. were chief ground gamers Hall scored the only touchdown OF the game after Oberlander had smashed his way UP to within yard, OF the Brown goal line. Sage at left end shone in the first period, scoring a 26-yafd drop-kfck for the Green’s first score. He also scored the point after Halls touch down in the second period by q drop kick. Payor, Brown halfback, was the chief threat in the Brunonian attack which was carried into Dartmouth’s territory through the last period. FOUR EASTERN TEAMS STILL IN I’ll TIE RACE Penn Indicated While Yale, Dartmouth And Syracuse Have Tied Games are the possible stumbling blocks. None of these teams will be easy, but the last two are the most to be feared by the Pennsylvanians. There are five teams in the east which have survived the season thus far indicated, but have tied scores against them. They are Yale, Dart mouth. Syracuse, Lehigh and Rutgers. OF these, Yale, Dartmouth and posibly Syracuse can be counted in the running for the big honor. The Army might be added to this list, despite their defeat by Notre Dame and last Saturdays Z to Z encounter with the Ellis in Yale bowl. This tie puts Yale, Dart mouth and the West Pointers about on an equal plane. Results Logical Aside from the disheartening Cornell Columbia result and the outcome of the Pennsylvania Lafayette game, Satur- DAVIS victories were quite logical. Dart mouth lived up to its strong reputation by overcoming the bitter rivalry of Brown and sending the Bears back to Providence with a 10 to 3 defeat. Princeton did the obvious in swamping Swarthmore 81 to 6, while Harvard won over Boston university by only IS to 0. Penn States 6 to 0 victory over the Navy, although predicted, has definitely put the Annapolis team in a class far below their customary level in spite of claims that they were saving their strength for the important Army Navy game. Syracuse failed to win for the first time this season Saturday, when Pitts burg battled her to to tie. Though hardly playing in championship class, Syracuse has been playing remarkably good football all season, and Saturdays result is hardly disgrace.
