A A’ Especial )-Tulane had no trouble beat ing Louisiana Polytech. of Ruston, here today, score 42 to 12 The varsity scored 2S points in the first period The game hardly had gotton finder way when Morgan recovered tumble and raced t5 yards for touchdown. Nor gan caught pass that was blocked and ran 25 yards for the second score. Tulane opened up passing attack, get ting the ball within scoring distance, and Harvey Wilson went off right tackle for five yards and q touchdown. Lorio scored in the same period after Tulane made another march down the field. The entire Tulane scrub team went in during the second quarter. They managed to hold Tech but at the be- ginning of the third period the visitors, led by Reed, scored a touchdown. Then Tulane’s entire second varsity was sent in. They found it difficult trying to stop Reed, who got away around the ends for gains of 20 yards, It was Reed who scored their second touch down in the fourth period. Then Coach Schaughnessy, sent the Tulane varsity back and they lost no time scoring two more touchdowns. Tulane was successful with forward passing. mak- ing many big gains over the aerial route. at Captain Brown was out of the game with an injured hand Reed, Hog and Bass played well for Tech. z In the line the work of Thompson, Yeldell and Telford was good while COvingtOn had the team well at quarter.
