BRIDGEPORT IS TRYING TO SQUEAL OUT OF GAME WITH THE ALL-NEW BRITAIN TEAM YALE PAPER GIVES MUCH CREDIT TO PRINCETON Sportsmanlike Manner in Which Tiger Followers Took Defeat Lauded by the Daily News. New Haven, Nov. 20.-Princeton was eulogized as a sportsmanlike op- ponent by The Yale Daily News, said editorially: “A Princeton man was heard to re- mark during Saturdays football game: If that’s the way the Bulldog is losing his grip, I wish he’d get it back again For the Blue, the after noon meant sunshine breaking through the clouds, food after fam inc, joy after sorrow. But in the memories of the joyous throng who filled the west side of the Bowl, one thing will stand out fully as promi- nently as the 27 points. That thing is the undaunted manner in which Princeton’s supporters stuck by de- feated but valiant team. ITO be a good winner when fortune smiles is one thing. To be a good bad breaks. Yale successes, brought never a sign of a whimper or com plaint from the Tiger. Every move ment made by the warriors from Jun gletoWn even in the discouraging final moments brought forth cheers where one might expect the silence of bitter futility. After the game. as the snake dancers poured out of the Bowl be- tween lines of Princetonians, cheers of congratulation were showered upon them. Several names were added to Yale’s hall of fame and cup of joy filled to overkowing by team which gives promise Of being one of the greatest in the university’s half cen tury of gridiron history. But when hard times again roll round, as roll they must, if the Blue will accept de- feat with as much clean-cut sports as did the Orange and Black on Saturday, traditions will be none the less glorious for having lost a game”

It’s total OF II points was the greatest margin or victory ever obtained in its fifty year old fund with Princeton except that wrested from the Tiger in 1850 when the Blue rolled up taRy OF 81 to 0. VINCENT DEFEATS ALL PLANS MADE BROWNIES, B TO 0 FOR BIG BATTLE Yale To Have Big Edge On Harvard In Annual Game NEW YORK. Nov. 19.-Football experts have agreed upon all but one detail of the game next Saturday be- tween Yale and Harvard at Soldiers Field, Boston. and that is the siBs of the blue score over the Crimson. After Yale’s overw helming defeat oF Princeton, 27 to 0. at the bowl Saturday, and Harvards downfall be- fore Brown, 20 to :, virtually every one but the undergraduates of Har- yard has conceded the game to the New Haven outfit. On the basis of Harvard’s , to victory over Prince ton and the results of Saturdays battles, they are estimating next Week-ends score. Other experts were lamenting the loss of prestige they suffered along with Syracuse when it flopped un- eXpectedly before Colgate. Is to ‘. The experts also failed to foresee Pittsburg giving Washington and Jefferson the finest defeat the Presi- dents received this season, 1S to (. The turmoil or Saturday left only two strictly eastern teams undefeat- ed for the season, Yale and Cornell. The big Red aggregation went through gymnatlstic stunts with Johns Hopkins pretending an oppo- sition and won 52 to 0. West Vir- ginia, which some consider eastern, remained a winner, trouncing St. Louis AS to 0. Football interest will be divided next Saturday between Boston and New York, for here the Army and Navy meet in their annual struggle for service honors. The Cadets took Bethany into camp Saturday, 20 to 6, while the Middies were dressing to play Nebraska, conquerors of Notre Dame.
