AGGIES WONDERING HOW S.M.U. HANDED THEM A WALLOPING Mustangs Outplayed But They Beat Bibles Lads, 10 to 0. College Station, Tex, Oct. 81 The Texas Aggies, whose goa.-line had been uncrossed in earlier games. though such teams as Sewanee had tried, met defeat for the first time this season here Friday afternoon from an unexpected quarter. The Farmers had looked upon Southern Methodist University of Dallas as rather easy. Result: S. NJ. u, 10: Texas Aggies 0. The Aggies are still wondering today how it.happened. The Mustangs from Dallas made only two first downs and the Aggies gained acres of ground. but the fact remains that the Bible eleven failed to score and the visitors counted ten points. A punt that was allowed to roll put the Aggies with their backs to their goal in the second quarter. Reisor of S. NJ. L. blocked Fay Will sons attempted punt-out and Wailjng recovered for the Mustangs a yard of the .Aggie goal. The Farmers de- Tense gave a demonstration of its class in throwing back the visitors on three tries at the lire, but Walling, on fourth down, packed oyer the touch down. Stollenwerck kicked goal. In the last few minutes of the game, an intercepted pass gave S. NJ. T.. the ball in Aggie territory and Stollenwerck kicked field goal. 1t was the initial Southwestern Conference game for both teams. 1t was likewise the second defeat in succession the Farmers have suffered at the hands of S.
