WINS THREE STRAIGHT Denver Defeats Nebraska Wesleyan Eleven in Final Minutes Of Play Denver, Oct. ia field goal in the final minutes of play, saved Nebraska Wesleyan from whitewash from the hands of the undefeated football team of the University of Denver which won its third successive game of the season here today q to 8. Ainsworth, replacing Crowley, Stellar fullback. who has withdrawn from school, performed brilliantly, carrying the ball 25 yards to the shadow of the goal posts in the first period. Denver scored two more touchdowns in the second period. but during the second half of the game the play was almost continually in Denver’s terri tory The Nebraskans were in position to score several times, but lacked the punch to put the ball over. AS the whistle blow in the third period Johnson, left-end of the Ne braskans, received forward pass and carried it to Denver’s seven yard line Two line bucks failed to net any yardage and attempted passes Went astray. Denver intercepting a pass and punting out of danger. Nebroska followed with punt which was recovered on Denver’s 25 yard line. On the next play a drop kick gave the only points scored against Denver.
