TIGERS COME TO LIFE; SMOTHER ROCHESTER Princeton Rolls Up All Its Points in First Half Score, 81 to 0. SUBS PLAY SECOND HALF Strubing Runs 95 Yards for Touchdown, Which Is Not Allowed by Referee. SUBS PLAY SECOND HALF u the Tigers tallles came in the first half. as Coach Roper rushed a substitute eleven into the game after the Orange and Black Varsity had flashed three across the New Workers. goal line during the second period. The Tigers presented a much i’m proved defense and the work of the backs was on the whole very creditable. The playing of both teams was ragged and erratic during the second half, Princeton fumbling on several occasions while poor passes by the Rochester centre twice gave Princeton eager Tiger substitutes wasted. Thimble and Clarity were the individual stars OF the game the latter being the only Princeton regular to stay in the bat tie for the whole game. Baker and Keck were stfongholds of strength in the line, and the whole first eleven showed a smoothness OF acton and power that was noticeably lacking in the Lafayette games. Cap tain Ogden played well for Rochester, while the visitors had running back in Harris. who did some Of the best work seen r the Palmer stadium grid iron thus this season. Tigers Waste No Time. The next KICKOFF produced the most brilliant play of the game Gosnell kicked off to Strubing, who caught the ball on his own yard line, and picking his way through the broken field, ran ntnety-tive yards for a touchdown. His spectacular run went for naught how | ever. as the ball was brought back because a Princeton player had been detected holding, and 1t was Princeton’s ball ON their own 16 yard line. Forward Nets Twenty Yards. turned the bali to the Rochester 27 yard line. Harris could not gain through the | line but n forward pass, Harris to Hum mel, netted twenty yards.
