Oregon is Defeated Washington State College, Pullman, Wash, Oct. %. = Showing the team work which characterized their play ing in 1915, the state college football team defeated the inexperienced Uni versity of Oregon eleven here Saturday by the score of 26 to 3. At no time was the Washington state college goal in danger, most of the play being in the lemon and yell low territory. At all times the Oregon line was helpless before the onslaughts of Dangs, Doane, Glover and Hanley, they piling up a total of 400 yards from serimmage to Oregon’s s loss of five yards The most exciting part of the play was a 72 yard return of punt by Bangs for touchdown in the third quarter. Bangs kept close to an i’m penetrable interference the entire dis tance, every man of Washington state college getting his man in the mad race for the goal line.
