The final score was 26 to and about rep 1 resents the comparative strength of / the two elevens. The game was staged at Roundup Park and was witnessed by about thousand spectators. The crowd liked the brand of football presented by the college teams despite the unevenness of the contest, for the field was fast the players scrappy and there were enough plays out of the ordinary to make it a red blooded affair. In the beginning it didn’t look at all as If there was to be top-hea’vy score. In fact Coach Bleamaster’ men had distinct advantage in the initial quarter. making yardage six times to the Aggies once and keep ing the ball in the O. A. c. territory throughout the period. Twice Idaho SGT close enough to try drop kick but both attempts fell short. However, in the second quarter Coach Pipal’s machine began to work n earnest The line and backfield settled down to the business of the hour and began to batter the light line of the Gem Staters to pieces. In this work that human battering ram ‘‘Darkhorse” Newman, leader of the Aggies. and Archibald did yoemen 7ervice for their team. o. A. G. Defeats Idaho Pendleton, Or, Oct. 90 - Superior weight and better teamwork gave the Oregon Aggies football team the big end of 26 to 6 score in their game here Saturday with the University of Idaho Idaho s only score came in the last few minutes of play after tumble Ehad been recovered on the Aggies 80 Eyard line, A forward pass. Brashear to Roberts, negotiated the remainder of sthe distance on the first play. Thomphson missed goal. While Idaho uncovered a number of deceivin0 tricks during the first and last quarters, the superior poundage of the Corvallis line was too great for consistent gains and only in those two quarters did the northerners appear dangerous. The Aggies, on the other hand, placed most of their dependence on old Estyle football and, while they are not fable to tear the Idaho line apart except in isolated instances, they found 4 possible to gain readily by the simple |expedient of massing their entire weight behind the charge.
