OREGON AGGIES NO MATCH FOR DOBIES Seattle, Nov. 11.-Sweeping down the field for long gains at almost every pass of the ball, with terrific line drives and sensational end runs in the final stages of the game the University of Washington footb; I team this after noon at University field, removed one more obstacle from it’s path to a ninth consecutive championship. The OBJ stacle was the Hardy eleven from the Oregon Agricultural college, but the final score-35 to 0-was one of the most lob sided in the history of Gil mour Dobies coaching career. The Aggies gave all they had and fought desperately every minute Of the game but they had met zone too many” In the Dobie machine. It was only in the last period that the flaws in Dobie’s eleven-and some were very pronounced at times-were corrected and the Washington men were able to pierce the line of their opponents for any material yardage. At the end of the third quarter the Washington boys had a lead of only seven points over their opponents and even the most optimistic Seattle sup porter did not concede the Dobieites a heavy score. In the last period, the Oregon line which had been remark ably strong during the preceding sessions, was torn to pieces by the furious attacks of the Washington back field men. The varsity players shot through the holes the linesmen picked out and gain followed gain. The last two touchdowns were the result of blocked kicks. The badly shattered line of the Wis itors failed to keep away the Wash ington linesmen who swept through and got at the ball before 1t had left the toe of Hubbard. On both occasions Washington man fell on the ball. and, once in possession of the pigskin, the varsity backs experienced little trouble in carrying 1t over The first blocked kick in the last period was on Oregon’s five-yard line. Noble went over for a touchdown. The Sec ond time Washington frustrated kick was on Oregon’s 20-yard line and after two line plunges, Logg who replaced Noble went over the line through left tackle.
