Sept. 30.-Virginia made a poor showing in her mi tial game today. defeating Davidson by only IL to o. Both touchdowns came in the first ten minutes of play. The frst was made possible by pretty runs by Darlington and White. the former carrying the ball across and the second on Gooch’s brilliant dash through tickle for half the length of the field. Honors went to the Pres bytertans throughout the second half. Once they placed the ball on Virginia’s fifteen yard line. Here Lawson tried field goal, but the ball went wide. Flower and Black were the stars for Davidson. L
