GEORGETOWN, 81; SOUTH CAROLINA, 0 Visitors Fight GameIy But Unavai|ingIy Against Blue and Gray Eleven. OUTPLAYED AT EVERY ANGLE OF THE GAME Hllltoppers Gain Consistently With Forward Pass-Backfeld Per. forms Splendidly. Showing a strong and varied offense and an impregnable detense, the Georgetown University eleven romped away with the University of South Carolina on the hilltop yesterday by a score of oI-o. The Hilltoppers’ redoubtable backheld gained at will through the line and around the fanks of their opponents, while the forwards not only held the Southerners, but threw them back for LOSSES time and time again. The stands were we’ll filled and crowd estimated at 5000 saw the team which had played mag nifcent foot ball against other elevens in the south carried away by the onslaughts OF an infinitely better outfit. The Palmetto boys were beaten but not disgraced and, although outclassed in every department of the contest, they fought gamely till the last whistle blew.
