MINNESOTA wins EASILY OVER IOWA Minneapolis, Oct 23.-Presenting a brilliant and varied attack, the Uni versity of Minnesota football eleven trounced the University Of Iowa team here today, 81 to 13. The Iowans points came in the last half, the sec ond touchdown being scored after a number of substitutes had entered the Minnesota lineup. Elected captain just before the game to replace the ineligible Solon, Bernard Bierman, set the pace for the Gophers on their many rushes down the field, his performance easily over shadowing the work of any other player. Other Minnesotans who contributed materially to the victory were Strong, Wyman, Ballentyne and Quist. The line as a unit had little difficulty in repulsing the charges of the Iowa players and on the offensive frequently slipped through and broke up Hawkeye plays. Gross and Davis Stars. Gross and Davis featured in the Iowan’s attacks, the two being di. rectly responsible for the visitors
