lafayette wins FROM Delaware CroweIl’S Men Win Game at Inauguration by $40 Score NEW ELEVEN WAS OUT PLAYED EASTON, Pa, Oct. 21.-At the final event in the inaugural ceremonies at Lafayette College yesterday the var sity football team met Delaware Col. lege on March Field yesterday after noon before a large number Of the inauguration guests, and. adding TO the triumphs in the academic world. defeated Delaware College by the score of 81 to 0. The high score made by the La fayette team in this game stood out in contrast to the score made at Princeton against them on Saturday Although Delaware was a comparalively weak aggregation, still they were strong enough to show that the Lafayette team has improved considerably. Some of this improvement is no doubt due to the coaching which the line has received from Harold Ballin, who has recently come to La fayette to take charge of the for wards. Lafayette showed complete mastery of the situation from the very first. In the opening period, after the ball had changed hands for the second time, Weldon skirted right end for 20 yards. and on continuous line plunges the ball was carried over for the first touchdown. A second score came in the same period on the for ward pass from Weldon to Taylor. The field was very slippery and yet Lafayette was particularly sue cessful in making long runs through a broken field which demanded much twisting and turning. Lineup. Delaware. Lafayette.
