AUBURN DEFEATS CLEMSON IN HARD FOUGHT BATTLE YELLOW JACKETS ARE EASY WINNERS Team Continues to Show Good Form-Struppa Stars Atlanta, October 16.-(Special.) )--Georgisl Tech romped home an easy winner oveil Pennsylvania college this afternoon un-l der a summer sun by 57 to count The visitors never threatened to score at any time during the game. their offensive be- ing smeared by the Tech forwards before it got under way. while all forward passes failed. The Jackets offensive worked smooth ly especnally their end runs. Tech used nothing but straight football, varying their attack between line bucks, off tackle plunges and sweeping end runs. It was on the latter that Struppal starred. This young halfback ran through a broken field four different times for gains of over 40 yards at clip, three times for a touchdown. Johnston and Fielder also did nice end running. Duncan was the big power on the Tech offense. His interference on the end runs were superb and ume after time he bowled over would-be taclSlers and made all the long gains possible. His return of punts was also feature. Three times he brought tho ball back as far as it was kicked. But for slow work on the part of Tech s secondary defense in the third quarter, when Pennsylvania held the ball longer than usual, the score would probably have been considerably large. Tho iine- up.
