INDIANA ALL THE WAY. Shows Surprising Improvement and Swamps Northwestern. ~ to O. BLOOMINGTON. Ind, October If Indiana, showing surprising improve ment, ran away from Northwestern here today and won easily, % to o. Northwestern failed to make a single first down and on the defense was powerless before the fierce smashes of Indiana’s backs. Failing at straight foot ball. Northwestern resorted to forward passes in the last half, at which it had no better success. A. Erehart’s running with the ball was the bright feature of the game. He was responsible for three of In diana’s markers. Capt. Erehart. Whit aker and Mcintosh were no less effective in their offensive work. But for repeated penalties Indiana would have run up much larger score.
