ARKANSAS LUCKY 10 BEAT HENDRIX BULLDOGS MAKE HISTORY IS FIRST ARKANSAS TEAM TO SCORE AGAINST UNIVERS- ITY RAZORBACKS. Fayetteville. Oct. B. Arkansas opened the football season here Sat urday by defeating Hendrix College by score of 20 to 13. It was one of the hardest fought games ever seen on University field and Arkansas was lucky to win. The teams were of equal weight but the green Arkansas line was un- ble to hold the heavy Hendrix back field. Hendrix played a steady consistent game, while the Razorbacks showed flashes of form. Hendrix College has the distinction of being the first college team in Ar kansas to cross Arkansas goal. Hendrix scored first three minutes after the kickoff after having recov- cred a tumble on Arkansas fve-yard line. It was not until the second quarter that Arkansas scored. Hen dirk was penalized twice for holding and forced to kick from their five yard line. Arkansas received on Hen drix thirty-yard line on a series of line bucks and end runs. Arkansas rushed the ball to Hendrix fifteen yard line. Here Cook kicked a field goal. Near the end of the quarter Arkansas again took the offensive and rushed Leverett over for the first touchdown. Cook kicked goal. Hen drix forged ahead again in the third quarter when with starlight line plunges by Harton and Fulnier they pushed Fulmer over for their second touchdown. Anderson kicked goal. It
