The middies are keyed for the struggle, being extremely anxious to avenge the defeat received at the hands of the BuckneHians last season, II to s. Having won from Lehigh, the only other team by which they We’re defeated last year, week ago, the middies have been printing themselves this week for the coming fray. And an additional amount of in terest is manifested through the fact that Bucknell last Saturday won from the University of Pittsburgh by 9 to 0. Pitt” played the middies to a scoreiess tie in the opening game OF the season on October a. Since then the middes have shown marked develo pment, and they will be in fine fettle for the go tomorrow. Although they smothered Lehigh under a score of 80 to 0 last Sarur. day, the Navy lads have not been resting on their laurels. This weeks practice has. in fact. been about the hardest Of the season. consisting of long signal drills. followed BY hard scrimmages Yesterdays practice was along that line, and it was in Sc cret Today only light work will be INDUCED in as final workout for Bucknell. Some little special preparation has, however, been made for the BuckHell game, particularly in d .vel. ping strong defense against the forward pass plays. Bucknell uncork ed a varied crop Of such plays last year and they contributed materially to their victory over the Navy. The LewisburS lads are playing a similar style of game as last year, il is reported, and the middies want to be on their guard to break up such tactics. Army Regulars ShOA Strength. The Army regulars were scrimmayed for nearly an hour yesterday with a strong scrub eleven. The sec ond team was armed with a lot of new inventions designed to battle the varsity. Nothing of the kind oc- Cured, however, for the regulars showed a much improved defensive game and broke through the scrubs forwards. smearing the play repeat eddy. The Army will take another hard scrimmage today in further prepare tion for Albright tomorrow and from all indications Coach DAILY will give the minor lights a chance to work against the visitors for a good part of the game. Crimson and Tigers Tomorrow. The all-important game to be play ed in the East tomorrow will be the struggle between Harvard and Prince ton st Princeton. II will be the first game for the eastern championship title. The Tigers have a fast az gregation but Harvard apparently is somewhat stronger than Princeton and the chances of victory seem to favor the crimson. Other big games book ed for tomorrow are Pennsylvania vs.. Dartmouth, at Philadelphia. Yale vs.. Brown. at New Haven. Indians VS.. Johns Hopkins. at Baltimore. Notre Dame VS. Penn State, at Belle Fonte Cornell VS.. Michigan, at Ithaca Army VS.. Albright, at West Point. st. Johns vs.. Maryland Aggies, st College Park.
