TEXAS FARMERS WON FROM MISSISSIPPI Played Rings Around Visitors and Piled Up Staggering Score Of Al to 7. In the football game at College Saturday afternoon, featured by the brilliant end runs Of Montgomery and Beasley, the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College football team won from the Mississippi A. and M. Al to 7. The teams we’re about evenly matched in both weight and expert. ence, but the Texas Farmers seem to have removed the pep of their opponents when Montgomery received a forward pass early in the game on the visitors forty-yard line and went sixty yards for a touchdown. This was i’m. mediately followed by a similar run by Everett. Mississippi scored when Beasley fumbled on the forty-yard line, the ball being recovered by Kim ball. who scored the six points. The Texas Farmers were somewhat weakened by the loss of Vesmirovsky and Bowler. Despite their absence from the game the Texas lads put up a game equal to that of any played this season. Stars were numerous on both sides, and it can be said that Kimball of the visiting team was the bright stellar light of that squad. Baker. Ellard and Macarthur also played a consistent game. Kern for the local team led his team well. Higginbotham did some excellnt punting and also added three points to the big end of the score by kicking a drop from the forty-five-yard line. President J. c. Hardy of Baylor Female College was at the game. He was until this year president of the institution.
