From q spectators point Of view. the game was intensely interesting. Time after time the White and Blue literally ran over the North than four plays necessary for a touch down. In spite OF the fact that five OF the regular varsity men, including Captain Miller. were out Of the game. the White and Blue proved itself perfect fighting machine. At every stage the line was inpresnable. although IL was composed entirely Of second team men after the first half. The backneA proved Irresistible. Time and again Buehring smashed the North Carolina line. never failing to gain. Carver. who was substituted for him during the first quarter. proved as effective. He never failed 70 gain. but repeatedly crashed through the David son line. shattering opposition and gaining at every turn. Rafferty, at quarter back, also played great game He handled the team perfectly at all times. while his two forty-yard runs In the face of ali the opposition Davidson could offer. were brilliant Not once was the Washington and lee goal In danger. while Davidson 3 was crossed almost at viii.
