  Rutgers Is Downed by West Point Men WEST POINT. Oct. 1.-THE Army team defeated Rutgers at football here today after hard fought game. 10 to 0. The cadets had no easy time with the Jersey men after the first half. This was due. no doubt, TO the rushing in OF substitutes at this stage OF the game, but Rutgers Fought hard In the two last periods, and came near scoring, The ball was on the ARMY eighttard line when a Rutgers back fumhied and Markoe. who played star game at end for West Point, fell on It. Cramer then punted out OF danger and thereafter the army held the desperately lighting Rutgers team at bay
