HOW FOOTBALL DoPEs. Should Kansas Beat Blue Baker Has Good Claim. The Kansas football situation took on peculiar aspect Saturday as a result of the three big college games Baker tied with Kansas, ottawa tied with Washburn, both by no scores, and the Normals defeated the Aggies by a field goal to nothing. 1t is quite true that Baker, Ottawa and Normals develop their best machine as soon as possible to meet their big games while Kansas, Washburn, and the Aggies develop more slowly because they reserve their best playing form until late in the season when they get their heavy games Nevertheless, these early games go into the record making and the champion ship and unless the schedules are so ar ranged to eliminate one or another Of the teams tied up, the early games may control the decision. Washburn does not play Baker this season. Should Kansas wallop the blue, Baker has a claim to the same superiority. Should the Aggies defeat Kansas, the Normals would claim SUI periority or should Washburn defeat the Normals and win from Kansas or the Aggies, they would be in an advantageous position. Fortunately the schedules are pretty well arranged to eliminate most chances of dope claims but the Baker situation as compared with Washburn will rest in the results of these two schools against the Aggies and Haskell rather than against Kansas.
