Clean Record for Illinois. Champaign, Nov. 19.-In the hardest fought game of the season. Illinois won over Syracuse Saturday afternoon by a score of 3 to 0. Sci ler’s toe again made possible an IL lini victory and he is the hero of the university. This game rounded out the season for Illinois, with a wonderful record. Not a game has been lost and not a score has been made on it. Syracuse never had a chance to score. except when Waite tried his place kicks, none of which came anywhere near the goal posts. Surprise for Chicago. Madison, Wis, Nov. 21.-The Wisconsin football team astonished even its most enthusiastic support ers Saturday afternoon by defeating the University of Chicago, 10 to 0, in a game replete with spectacular features. The Badgers won strictly by old football methods while the maroon warriors tried everything in the calendar, failing signally to gain on plays of trick nature.
