  The HeraId’s Sporting News TIE GAME PLAYED FOR CHAMPIONSHIP Plainview, Texas, Nov. S-A football game between Clarendon college Of Clarendon and Wayland Baptist college of Plainview for the championship Of the Panhandle resulted in a tied score, 6 to 6. The ball was in Clarendon’s ter ritory almost the entire game and their goal was constantly in danger, two drop kicks missing by less than foot. 1t was the first time this season their goal had been crossed while on the other hand it was the first time Way land had ever played a game. The local college supporters are wild over their team and want a game with Roswell Military or some strong East Texas team. Black, formerly fullback and McCas1and, formerly quarter on the Baylor university team, were in the game for Wayland.
