INDIANA DEFEATS WISCONSIN ELEVEN Indianapolis, October 22.-Indiana further clinched its claim to the conference football championship by defeating Wisconsin university IL to 3 this afternoon. The feature of the game was the spectacular 65-yard run for touch down by Gill of Indiana. Near the end of the second quarter Pierce of Wis consin punted and Gill caught the oval on Indana’s 40-yard line. Dodging and throwing off the entire Wisconsin eleven he placed the ball squarely behind the goal posts and later kicked goal for Indiana’s last marker. With the exception of forward passes and few fake kicks both teams played straight football. Wisconsin made its only score with a drop kick by Pierce in the f1rst quarter. winters was sent over for the first touchdown and Gill followed with his long run. Gill kicked both goals.
