DAVIDSON A SURPRISE. Defeats the Husky North Carolina Team, 6 to O. CHARLOTTE. n. c.. October 15.-Dawilson College treated IT’S most sanguine supporters to a genuine surprise this aft ernoon on the local gridiron by defeating the husky eleven of the University of North Carolina, q to 0. The score was made in the last quarter on a series of tragic fumbles by the varsity team. The victory was notable for the reason that it is the first time the Presbyterians ever scored on Carolina, and for the further fact that the victors were handicapped by an opposing weight of not less than forty pounds to the man. Carolina play ed lifeless game, and the teamwork was very poor. Davidson outplaying them at every point OF the game, and putting up brilliant article.
