  Football SEVERAL INTERESTING GAMES WERE PULLE DOFF ON SAT- URDA YAFTERNoON. Saturday proved a very busy day Yin the football world all over the country, as almost every university and all local teams participated in some sort of a contest. Although the West Virginia University team defeated the Slippery Rock Normal school team by a big score, quite a surprise was sprung on the West Virginia boys when the normal school boys scored n touchdown. Marietta won from Wesleyan Col lege, 26 to 0. Washington and JEFF ferson defeated Dickinson, IS to 3. w. v. U. swamped the Slippery Rock Nor nal school by the score OF 40 to 5. Clarksburg Tigers won from the Fair mont Collegians, 35 to 5. The Nor gzntown High School took the game from Grafton High, 60. Clarksburg and Fairmont High Schools tied, neither side scoring. The scores of the big games were as follows: Yale, II; West Point, 0.
