  University Notes President Merica and Professor Knight were both present at the State Federation of Women’s Clubs, held at Wheatland this week. President Merica lectur. ing upon “Tbe Individual in Ed ucation,” and Prof. Knight dis cussing with telling effect the work of the State Pure Food COM mission in preventing the adult Grafton of food product. Besides receiving in a most hearty manner the speakers themselves, the men, bers of the federation displayed to a marked degree, their interest and faith in the University. The sincerity of these declarations was very effectively displayed in the action taken by the federation in raising $4,000 as a loan scholarship fund for girls wishing to attend the University. In education, ne in religion, women are the controlling power, and the loyal support of so representative and influential a body as the State Federation cannot but help the University. Prof. Towar and Prof. Nc Wethy returned yesterday from the State Fair, where they have been exhibiting the display of experiment farm and central Wyoming products which is to be used on the Grainers institute train. and later taken to eastern points by the Chicago & Northwestern railroad. The practice game between the football squad and the Cheyenne High School eleven Saturday afternoon resulted in a score of 30 TO 0. The game WAS a good one and showed clearly that Coach Deans up-to-date methods are GO ing to produce a team of genuine merit. The practice has been and energetic, n third of the male students being in the squad, and the team which will be made up from the results of the practice game will be well worthy of the enthusiastic support given il,
