  PURDUE TOO HEAVY TrounCes DePauW Football Team by a Score of 20 to q. ROCKFORD WAS THE STAR. Lafayette, Ind, Oct. 31.-DePauw was defeated by the Purdue eleven here today, the final score being % to 4. The game was stubbornly fought and several times the Greencastle boys tore through the Purdue lineup and made large gains. Purdue did not use any new plays and the forward pass was used but seldom, but won on straight foot ball. Purdue was too heavy for the Methodsts and the game was never in danger for the boiler makers. Rockford played great game for Purdue making four out of the five touchdowns. Dennis Grady, the DePauw quarter back, was the star of his team near the end of the first half. He kicked a goal from the SO yard line. His tackling at times was also sensational.
