WASHBURN May GO. Likely to Play Colorado School of Mines If Oklahoma Is Defeated. Manager Walter w. Stahl of the washburn football team this morning announced that in all probability the Washburn team would accept the offer of the Colorado School of Mines for q game December Z, providing Washburn wins from Oklahoma university Thanks giving day. The Washburn players are very anxious to make the. trip as they have not an opportunity to make a good trip this year and a trip is gen. orally considered one of the induce ments to players. The transfer of the Oklahoma university game to Topeka deprived Washburn of their only extended trip this season. The School of Mines is recognized as the champion team of Colorado al though they have yet to defeat Colo RADIO university before the honor Is theirs. However, the School of Mines should win and Washburn should also win from Oklahoma uni versity. 1t is probable that the game will be arranged. The two schools have never met.
