  SYRACUSE BEATS HOLY CROSS Syracuse Nov 11.-In the most spectacular game of the season on the home field the Syracuse foot ball team defeated the Holy Cross eleven here today by the score of IS to l. Both teams were bet ter on the offensive than the defensive. The Holy Cross team set fast pace at the start of the game, and, receiving the ball on the kick-off worked II across the field to within nVe Yards of the Syracuse goal when the Orange held for downs and with long gains around the opnosing ends rushed the ball back across the field again for touchdown. Holy Cross secured it’s only well along iowa I’d the end of the first half en- placed KICK from the 2-yard line by Carney. In the second baIf the Syracuse team at the visitors with a rush and Stimson, Harwood, Tucker and Horr tore the Holy Cross line to pieces for two touchdowns and were well on the way for a third wien
