  swARTHMoRE IMPROBABLE. The Strong Cornell Team BowIed Over Like Nine Pins. Ithaca, N. Y. Nov. 4.-swarthmore literally wiped up the field with Cor nell this afternoon defeating the big red and white team by a score of IA to 0, making two touchdowns, two goals and a safety. The visitors outplayed Cornell at practically every stage Of the game and taking advantage of the disastrous fumbles by Rice and Valdez had pos session of the ball during most of the time. Cornell started off well, carrying the ball down the field by series of line bucks to Swarthmore’s 80 yard line. There Rice fumbled. Swarthmore made small but consistent gains until Crowell ran 80 yards on a trick for a touch down. The first half ended after this score. The Swarthmore line was impregnabic and held every attempt of Cornell to gain. In the second half they broke through on an attempted punt and forced Valdez back over the goal line for a safety. A tumble by Cornell gave Swarthmore the ball in her ter ritory and long runs by Crowell and Pritchard soon carried the ball over the final score.
